I didn't see an introduction thread, so I will post it here. Name is Lon, live in Central AZ. I have had a Cookshack SM-8 smokette since 2006 if I remember correctly, but never got really serious about making food other than the occasional pork butt or turkey, but now that I am retired, AND the proud owner of a Cookshack PG-500, it's time to get serious. Hope to pick up some tips and excellent recipes and possibly be able to contribute from time to time. Over the weekend, did a bone in turkey breast on the Pellet Grill, injected with a homemade injection of butter, lemon juice, garlic salt and poultry seasoning. Took it to 170 and I'm gonna go out on a limb and say it is likely the best turkey I have ever eaten!!!!

Anyway, looking forward to finding new ways to fix things and hopefully, I can pipe in from time to time with something helpful..

Welcome Lon. Looking forward to seeing your future cooks.

Welcome! I'd always wanted a Cookshack and the PG 500 seems a great cooker. They also have a great forum, though of course not as good as SMF. Lots of good info here. I look forward to some pix from one of your cooks

Man your handle takes me back to boot camp learning about the marines that charged like dogs from hell. There’s a few of us on here that know what that actually means. As bluewhisper said, welcome to the forum devil dog. Look forward to seeing your cooks.
