My Thermopro tp-20 displays LLL only when the probed is insert into cold meat(not frozen)? If I removed the probe from the meat it reads normal. Any one have any ideas. I changed with a new one probe same results? Thanks in advance

Update I think the middle of my meat is only only at 30 degrees F. this maybe the issue???

Range is 32 to over 500F. If your meat is below 32F it will read LLL. Other causes can be faulty probe or plug not pushed into socket all the way. Can also reseat batteries. In your case sounds like temp out of range. Try the ice bath test. Fill glass full of ice, fill with water and see if you get a 32F read ok.
