Great cook.
I need to make or purchase a vortex.
Have you tried pushing the vortex to a side or does it only work in the center to distribute the heat inside and turn the handle into a branding iron?


I have so many fails, but luckily edible so wife doesn't complain (much). She's just happy I do the cooking.

Thanks Fueling, and for the like. I haven't used the Vortex with the narrow side up - off to the side, but I regularly do with the wide side up. Narrow side up and off to the side the heat may not be equally distributed, but then again with the heat output it may not matter.

I gotta a chuckle out of the wife complain part. Mine doesn't verbally complain, as she's glad she didn't have to cook supper, but I do get that little smirkish smile look when she's not totally happy with the final results.

This is what they refer to as a major success! Big like!
