Your UDS blog is what I have been referencing. Nice job, I hope mine turns out as nice. I was planning on using the braided fiberglass wood stove gasket and high temp silicone for the bottom lid, I have enough laying around the shop. But tin foil is never in short supply at my house, maybe a better option.
