That sounds almost as good as the turkey. Almost...

I should mention that prior to the cook we add some butter and olive oil and seasonings to the veggies. They are tasty!

Leftover view Round 3 or 4 !!!

Was  going to make Turkey pot pie, but was missing some important ingredients. Then I thought I'll make turkey and dumpling stew. Yep was missing  the same ingredients for the dumplings as I was for the crust. Flour's kind of important. Ended up with smoked turkey soup and hot dog bun cheese bread.

Thanks Bear! Tasted just fine without the dumplings or pie crust. My boys love the dumplings and were a bit disappointed. I blamed it on all the cookie making that's been going on!

Did your veggies catch the drippings from the turkey? It looks absolutely delicious and I'm thinking of giving a similar dish a go, but I have an offset so I wouldn't be able to have direct heat over the veggies, and definitely wouldn't be able to have the bird over the veggies unless I put the tray under the grates.

For this smoke we did not place this one under the turkey. But, it's supe good when you can!
