I had an idea to take some store bought teriyaki marinade such as Lawrys brand or something similar and diluting it with some water or even juice of some sort and adding some Morton's Tender Quick as a cure. Has anyone else tried this and if so how'd it turn out for you?

There are lots of teriyaki jerky recipes on the site if you do a search. If you use TQ factor that into your salt content unless its included in the recipe already. I made some teriyaki jerky a week ago useing pork tenderloin and cure #1. My wife loved it but i found it a little bland.
