Temporary baffle plate

So I have a char broil SFB and I was wondering about the firebox baffle. Can one be made from a disposable aluminium sheet tray for a temporary mod until I get the money together to make one from steel or will it just be a waste of time.

Yes that will work . I used a throw away pan at first, then my wife's cookie sheet (she wasn't happy about that :devil: ) before I got the metal cut to size at work .

Ok cool thanks for the help. And I know if I used a cookie sheet my fiancee would murder me.
