Bear sorry I'm late to the table on this one. I had to put in 12hr days Fri. Sat. and Sun. So any forum action was done in short spurts, and I missed a few good posts.

I'm thinking that I may have had this when I was a little tyke living in Brooklyn. We moved out shortly after I started riding a tricycle wearing a pooches harness connected to the clothes line so I wouldn't ride into the busy street. I just can't remember for sure. I'd like to try it - as I enjoy a good slice of bologna, fried up on griddle w/some melted cheese on top of an over easy egg. Slicing down the sides is a great idea, however I've always liked eating bologna boobs. I will definitely pay more attention in our stores to see if it's carried in these parts.

Point for sure.

Chris

I've heard of pork roll but I've never seen it in a store up here. Like Gary said, it seems to be a lot like bologna and I love good fried bologna Sammie--and your Sammie sure look good.

Thank You Gary!!
This is similar to a "Very Good Bologna". You'd love it !!
And Thanks for the Like.

That looks really good, Bear!

Although not the same, your pics of the pork remind me of a pizza we like to do using summer sausage also cut along the edges to reduce curling

Exactly!!
And if anybody wants to try Pork Roll, I doubt if they can find it for under $9 per pound unless they're shopping within 80 miles of Trenton, NJ.

Bear

Well I guess I got lucky . Look what I found 10 minutes from my house , $6.99 a pound .

Never heard of the stuff either but I'm intrigued now. I cant believe Ive never thought of cutting the sides of the chubs like that, so simple:oops:. Care to share some details on that knife? It looks remarkably like a fillet knife Ive been trying to replace for years.

Thank You GG !!
We don't have any expensive knives here:
We have mostly junk, but we love our Cutco Steak knives, and the only knives we keep sharp are my old Fishing Fillet knives, like the one in the Picture, which is a "Normark" (Sweden).
Plus I have another one that says "Ed Wusthof " (Germany)

They were both Cheapo Fillet knives from Sporting goods stores, about 30 years ago.
I think I have a couple others that are "Rapala".

I was afraid you were going to say that. I have the black handled version. The Normark's are virtually impossible to find round here. They have the perfect amount of flex for trout and walleye so when the odd new one can be found on the auction sites they go for a ridiculous amount.
