Sup All,

Me and a Marine Corp. buddy were talking about CAS today... I seen a lot of you are military peeps so I thought I would share this video we were talking about. Maybe some of you could share close air support stories. I know some of you are older, you got any Sandy stories?

I never served, but am thankful for those that have and do. I will say though the A10II has a special place and should never be retired. It may be slow, it may be overweight but theres something about when you hear it or its guns that is just amazing. The design alone it lives up to its name. The fact you can blow parts of the wings off, a engine and pretty much disable its hydraulics and it can still land says how well it was thought out.

LOL underpowered, and overweight seem to be the hallmarks of air support aircraft LOL. I remember hearing stories from Skyraider pilots about how them fats SoB's could barely get off the ground and quite often lost engines :<( lol. Things were still beastly in air support though in great part due to the courage of the pilots.

We called them in more than a few times in Iraq. Love em. It's an overwhelming feeling. Honestly though attack helicopters, apaches and cobras both offer amazing close support and can unleash hell

No lie the ads I see in my MSN feed are just as targeted... Not a fan of the social media giants 1 bit.
