Taking on the champ

  1. Well I have been working on my own secret rub for the past few months and today I am putting it to the test.

    My rub on the top, the Smoking Meat Forun reigning champ on the bottom. See you in about 7 hours...[​IMG]

    Interesting ... however .... did you use Jeff's rub as a base for yours?? [​IMG]

    Regardless how they turn out, both will be good eats I'm sure!!
  3. Yeah I am using Jeff's rub but I have been trying to perfect mine for a few months now. If this turns out well, I will post the recipie.

    Thats half the fun coming up with new stuff or tweaking a good recipe here or there to make it suit you.

  6. Wow...Jeff's Rub should be required for any cookout..man, that stuff is good.

    Jeff's Ribs aer on the left. I need to head back to the lab for my rub. It created a lot of bark.
