Guys, my local lumber supplier only carries white wood or cedar for t &g. I know cedar is a little more but what do you guys think? The smoker will be about 2x3x5 tall. Is cedar ok to use? Will the cedar give a odor to the meat? I don't plan on taking the temp any higher than 180 or so. Let me know which route you would go. Thanks

One more thing, I have read that plywood is no good to use because of toxins, but what about t1-11? Is that the same issue? Thanks

What about cedar??? Also what about white wood from lowes??? They told me white wood is pine? Which one would you use?

The pine is fine, the cedar from those places tends to be thin, did you notice it being real thin?
If it's not aromatic cedar, I see no problem with using it unless it''s real thin.
