I attempted my first last week-end.   I smoked them way to long.   I like your idea of cutting them long way.   That would make cleaning them out a lot easier.  I may try some more this week-end.  I still have 3 peppers in the frig.

Did you smoke them in the dish in the picture?

Wes,

The pics I took were just the ABT's resting on the cutting board. To smoke them, I just placed it directly on the smoker grate. Found some interesting hot spots when they were done...

BTW, not to hijack this thread, but I've been meaning to tell you how cool your fireplace is. The smoker idea on the side is one I wish I had last spring when I had mine built.

We do a lot of entertaining outside in the summer, so my wife insisted that we have an outdoor fireplace built. I vaguely remember seeing the estimate before fainting with sticker shock, so for a few dollars more I had them modify it for a TV and coax cable for me. This is the best pic I have right now (from last Summer). It still needs a mantel and maybe some doors for the TV, but it's all put away and buttoned up until spring.

Thanks for the kind words.  Your fireplace is pretty sweet as well

You can always add the smoker!   Love the tv in the fireplace.

I really like a lot of delightful soups at a BBQ like a cous cous healthy salad with chili peppers, excellent, cashews, cook pumpkin etc, or a awesome spud healthy salad with bread and red red onion.
Or how about doing a cook in the bbq?
That's what i think about the topic, What you think? Do give your ideas and suggestions,
