Sunday means bread day, so I made some Shokupan for the week. Not my best loaf, but still soft and fluffy, so I'm satisfied.

Now that is different, never seen pullman bread before , but heard square bread mentioned on here I think by KBFlyer KBFlyer .

I like using the pullman when I intend to use my bread primarily for sammies. But also because my fam likes the look of it. I on the other hand love the rounded tops, since it looks even fluffier and more pillowy.
Literally just saw an episode on how to make this on ATK.
I think that's a sign you need to jump in! The buttery, pillowiness is just delightful.

I made 2 loaves of SD discard bread today. Recipe I used had WAY too much added yeast and the loaves blew out the top. Got me thinking pullman style (Thanks David DRKsmoking DRKsmoking couldn't remember the term) would have produced better results.

I prefer butter for a fortified loaf, but the recipe I used had coconut grease for the oil and my wife loves it as does some of our friends. You know the rule?

Yessir I do, and that takes precedence over any recipe!

Looks great, that will make some nice sammiches. Sunday is bread day for us too. 👍
Yessir, got a corned beef with Chef jimmyj's pastrami rub getting ready to smoke. Thinkin of doing a reuben sometime this week, if the bread lasts beyond tomorrow haha
