natej, I've never interacted with some many friendly from "Down Under" since I joined this web site.
My son in-law was born down under, and my daughter and him travel there a lot, but that's about it, and that's all I know or can say, except that you all from "Down Under" are very nice friendly people.

It is funny, I would have never of thought that neighbors like you, from Australia were into this kind of "Stuff" for a lack of a better word.

Hmmm, gonna have to have a long talk with my son in-law. ;)

Haha cheers my friend!.. ive never been to the US at all but the mrs and I plan to maybe make it there next christmas holidays, you all are wonderful people!

There is a small but growing American style bbq & smoking meat movement here.. it CERTAINLY isn't common practice and people that actually know how to run a smoker ESPECIALLY a stick burner are very far and few between.. the people at the local bbq store said the correct way to run an offset is throw lit briquettes into the FB with a handful of wood chips and repeat till meat is cooked :eek:Walking into a butcher here, they have NO idea what a "pork butt" is.. first time i asked for a pork butt the butcher gave me a ham lol! 90 percent of people dont know what a point or flat is and asking a butcher for that, you get funny looks

I've learnt basically everything I know about bbq from hours and hours of using the search feature on this site then translating the times and weights to metric and the awesome members that make this place what it is.

I agree 150% Way to go!!!!

Cheers mate!

Being from Texas I can easily attest to the fact that your brisket is the real deal brother....POINT

Thankyou my friend!

That looks amazing! Cracks me up that she came home with two more briskets!

Haha yeah I was shocked myself.. every time ive ever cooked brisket shes had a forced smile and says " this tastes good" but only eats 1 or 2 bites LOL

Upon going for seconds, I got told to stop eating her lunch for work hahaha!
