Just watch out those sublimation inks dry up in the head if not used often and I mean daily. I have thrown away more than one printer. Now I send out for the transfers, I imagine you have a mug heat press? I have made license plates, zippo lighters, coasters, mouse pads and many t-shirts. As long as the shirt is 100% polyester it will work and the colors are killer. If you google sublimation blanks you will see the vast amounts of items out there. I also have a vinyl cutter that can cut out lettering as heat transfer on clothing.

Is this a business or just something to play with?

“What is a sublimation printer” is the regular question for office supplies. A sublimation printer is a type of printer that uses heat to transfer dye onto a
No I did not say to watch out for the dry ink. clifish did.

And i dont print every day and have not had any issues with ink drying on the print head.

I’ve worked with both DFT and sublimation printing, and each has perks. Sublimation is excellent for polyester fabrics because the ink bonds with the fibers, making it super durable and bright. It’s perfect for things like T-shirts and mugs. But it’s pretty limited to light-colored materials, and you must be careful with fabric choices.
On the other hand, DFT printers are more versatile. They work in a broader range of fabrics, including cotton, which sublimation doesn’t handle well. Plus, you can print on darker colors, which is a big win if you do custom stuff like hoodies or tote bags.
