This morning after years of stuffing countless pounds of sausage with the grinder, I finally took the plunge and ordered an 11 pound stuffer from Walton's. I got tired of fighting the grinder and sometimes getting smashed meat going into the casings.
The major problem I have right now is I forgot to tell the wife it was going to do it. Past attempts to buy one were met with the "LOOK". So, do I hope it gets delivered when she is babysitting the grandkids, then bring it out and tell her the next time we're making sausage, or just tell her when she wakes up and just accept my punishment. She'll probably get over it by spring of 2020:rolleyes:.

Easier to ask for forgiveness than permission. :D

Hope it shows up without her knowing then get a buddy to help stuff sausage. Cook up some sausage for her an ask how she likes it over previous sausage. Will be a big difference in texture. Good choice on your part.

Tell her you did it for her. Tell her you were concerned about the noise from the grinder bothering her and the model you have now is quieter. It worked for me!

Well, I took a chance and told her. Of course, it was at camp with a bunch of our friends around to call the ambulance for me. I was surprised when she said "Good, you've been wanting one forever, Merry Christmas". She knew I was surprised and added, we paid the camper off last month and you have 8 deer to process so far. Enjoy. She is definitely a keeper.

My wife's normal first response to something I want is "Why do we need that?"
A week or so later she'll ask why I haven't got it yet.
Go figure!
