Stepping Down

This is a general announcement for the entire forum.

I recently submitted my letter of resignation for the moderator position to Jeff, which he has accepted. My reasons for stepping down were discussed with him before this became official today. I am NOT leaving SMF, just stepping out of the moderator position.

I do not have time to do the job as it should be done and feel that the forum would be better served by someone who is more qualified to do the job.

I have enjoyed the position, but I felt the time was here to back off a little bit. Thank you to all who have supported SMF and Jeff's chosen group of leaders.

Keep the forum spirits up and remember ... SMF is all about the newbies.

No feelings hurt here at all. Just seem like not enough hours in a day to do what I need to do for me, let alone for the forum. It's all good.

You shoulda went to the gathering at Truman lake agmeyer - it was a great time.

Glad to hear your still going to be hitting the forums as time allows PigCicles. I'm still pretty new to this site but have spent a lot of time going through the forums and your advice in different threads was appreciated. I moderate another site ( has nothing to do with smoking ) and I can understand the time thing. I don't post a lot in the forums here because I'm so tied up with work, home, and life in general. It's hard to set aside enough time to moderate a forum on a daily basis and still keep the wheels greased and running smooth on the home front. I see that you are member #55 of the OTBS, and so I can only say...
