I am pretty new to smoking but want to do it more....Anyone have a good way to smoke a corned beef for St. Patrick's Day ?
Just thought I might try it instead of boiling it.
Thanks for any help.

Since corned beef is basically a brined brisket I'd think you could smoke it like you'd do a brisket. There are a great many threads on the forum about smoking briskets.

If you already have a cured but uncooked corned beef, and you smoke it, it essentially becomes pastrami (with appropiate seasoning). If it's just a raw brisket, well that's just smokin' a brisket. We have another active thread going on here that may be helpful: https://www.smokingmeatforums.com/threads/corned-beef-into-pastrami.285087/#post-1937000
