A few days go we got a winter storm warning. It went from Monday at noon until Wed until 2 pm. Called for 1-2 feet of snow. The really good thing is has been on the warm side for about a week with temps in the 50's and lows in the high 20's to low 30's. We got some rain/sleet/snow on Sun but nothing to speak of. On Mon it started raining arounf midday that turn to snow. Then snow off and on until I went to bed. Tues was snow all day long, light to heavy back and forth. I took the pic and midday as the snow started to stick by then. The ground was still warm so the only accumulation was on raised areas, like the trees, grass, decks, etc. Ended up clearing the front/back decks about 5 times until bed time. Hard to tell have much we really got as the snow was melting even when it was still falling. The most accumulation I found was about 10 inches with slush underneath, so I'm sure we got over a foot. Anyways, here's the one and only pic I took. Pretty much all is melted now. At least it mostly seep into the ground and no runoff for the most part.
Funny thing is I went down to the little "town" on Wed and there was no snow. We are at 9100 feet and the town is around 8400 feet. Amazing what a few feet in elevation makes to the weather here.
