I recently picked up a pack of Marketside Angus Franks at Walmart, and so far... I'm really liking the flavor and the fact they come 8 to a pack, which matches buns that are 8 to a pack.

My standard drill is to spiralize dogs and for this test run I went with a basic mustard dog. When grilled or skillet fried... they are moist, have a nice flavor and texture, a noticeable snap, and they are bun length.

Looks bigger than a number 8 in the picture . I do like the spiral cut on the dogs , been scoring them myself . I could eat a couple of those for sure .
I tend to pass on the " uncured " hype ( because of the hype ) , but at least they have the " except for " on the label . I'd buy 'em .

I’ll need to look them up. We prefer the 4/lb ourselves.

We usually buy Millers. Not sure they are available outside of the SF Bay Area.

They recently reduced the weight of their dogs to 4/32oz. Ridiculous what some producers do to keep the pricing the same.

We also have not spiralized our dogs. May need to try it.

The lowly hot dog is such a forgotten treat. Looks great.
Never tried the spiral cut. I usually wrap mine in bagel dough.
My favorite dog is the 1/4# Costco dinner frank. I like the flavor and size, but not the salt. I eat maybe 1 a year.

They omitted the important part of the uncured label. Celery juice is cultured to convert the nitrates to nitrites before dehydrating to powder.
