Saw a blurb on local news about a spice and rub company that is a passion of a kid with Downs Syndrome. I have not tried any of the spices but thought it is neat story. The company name is Max Mix.

The HyVee about 30 minutes from hear carries them. Next time I’m up there I plan on picking some up.

I was looking at the site and noticed quite a few regional stores carry them.

This is certainly a feel-good story. What an incredible journey for this young man. He was born into a loving and caring family who did everything in their power to provide him the experiences to help him in life.

So I've used the MaxMix Mad Dog Magic BBQ Spice on both a turkey breast and last night a pair of pork tenderloins.Very much like it so much so I can see it becoming my go-to for a lot of things.Wish they packaged it a larger size.

I just exchanged an email with Max's mom Pam inquiring about larger sizes. She let me know that Max is super happy with everything and they really are only just getting started but definitely want to hear from customers about what they are looking for. I also let her know that I found out about Max through a post on this site to which we owe @Buckeye1 a big thanks for that!

Thank you! Yes, about 150 Hy-Vees carry it but if they don't please ask them to bring it in. Also in St. Louis all Dierbergs carry it. -Max
