Did these a couple of weeks back but been having some PC issues. I was proud of this batch and wanted to share them. Smoking on the CSV24 w/ pecan chunks. No foil and I did them for about 6+ hours. Came out perfect. Also, did some abts.
Very nice smoke my friend. Those ABT's look great. I'm impressed with the ribs not looking dry, and they do have a nice snoke ring, especially since they were not foiled. What temp was your CSV running? Congrats to you.
Temps were between 230-250. I haven't foiled ribs for the last 2 years. I think its because I was too lazy at first and I also wanted to perfect it w/o using the 3-2-1.
Nice work Mark! ABTs looked perfect and the ribs, well though they looked good when i tried to have a taste it just tasted like my monitor, maybe I'll pour some BBQ sauce on the screen and try to lick it again...
Seriously though, great job. Next set of ribs I do I'll do a no foil smoke.
I'm still undecided which I prefer more, foil or no foil.
What I am sure of is this.
You deserve some
Well this is certainly torture. I had a root canal extracted the other day and you have no idea how bad I want to eat those ribs. Right now I'm stuck with yogurt, apple sauce, cottage cheese
.
But I have a couple of friends getting me thru the pain. My Co-worker,
aka Codeine and a long time buddy, Jimmie Beam.
Great job on those ribs my friend, they look fantastic, and the ABT's, mouthwatering.....
