Maui, Hi.
Aloha Friends,

Are there any good sausage making suppliers on the west coast that I can order casings from?  Seems like the ship time from New York and MidWest take longer than I would like.

Thanks

Hi solaryellow,

Yes, I've heard of them.  I was just wondering if there were any other closer to Hawaii.
They are in Detroit but have you tried Butcher Packer?
Hi Todd,

I caught your post on the "Spam" loaves. I am planning to do mine soon. I'll let you know how they turn out.

I have an order coming in from the Sausagemaker in a few days.  I'm just trying to locate a supplier that is closer to Hawaii.  I'm using mostly 29-32 mm hog casings for now.

Hey Val

What size casings?

Collagen or hog?

Hey Val did ya ever ask your butcher or the guy behind the meat counter at the local grocery store?

You know they have a stock of them and shipping has already been paid for! jJust a thought.

I often get mine from them guys and they give them up cheap. most of the time.

Got a market in town that makes their own sausage and that is where I got my last two batches. I do keep some LEM as a back up

Aloha Dan and Scarbelly,

The butchers at the grocery stores that I frequent (Foodland, SafeWay) don't bring them  in.  Although I haven't asked the butchers at Costco yet.

I will need to check the very few  mom and pop stores here on the island.

Midwesternresearch.com. They are also a sponsor of the site and you can send them a pm with any question. They are prompt in answer. I have also used Butcher and Packer too.
