Don't forget hops and barley soup . My favorite soup served cold .
I'm filling up on that delicious cold soup right now

Were celebrating Christmas today, soup has been a tradition for quite a few years. My wife likes a mild chili, the grand kids all request homemade chicken noodle with homemade noodles and vegetable beef.

sounds like an awesome menu!!

I'd like something to categorize them, too.
I looked at Sides, but it doesn't really fit there without expanding the lineup.

Might have to update the forum "title" one of these days?
Smoking Meat and everything associated
or
Smoking Meat and we know things

My opinion is this. What does SMF stand for?
I think all of us recognize and are appreciative of the core purpose of the forum. We all love to smoke meat but not for every meal. What’s extremely unique about this forum is the amazing breadth of knowledge on cooking in so many ways. I’ve learned virtually all I know about smoking and curing here. I’ve also learned more about sous vide, griddling, fermenting, pickling , baking , food safety and storage and countless other things. The site is a wealth of knowledge. We all realize at its core it’s the Smoking Meats Forum but what really differentiates it from many other sites is that diversity in content. Not only is it the Smoking Meat Forum but also the Spectacular Meals Forum too.

With the forum structured the way it is. It's pretty easy to skip by those posts that don't interest you. I was inline with your thinking not too long ago Adam, but have come around and appreciate the wealth of information being shared. Someday I may catch the fermenting bug, and now know where I can go to research it when and if I do.

Well we also have tags you cN put on a thread then you can search by tags too.
