OK, I had this once while visiting someone in Marietta, OH. It was like a bean soup with dough (kind of like amish pot pie dough). I loved it but have never ever seen a recipe for it. It's a great stick to the ribs recipe.

Has anyone ever had this??

I make leather breeches....(dried green beans)...Would that be what you are looking for?
I string them and let them dry. When I rehydrate them I cook with ham hocks or ham pieces.

I just reread your post Shell, I'm probably talking about something else! lol
