Recipe for a cheese potato soup called for "A dash" of liquid smoke?

So i figured why not smoke the whole darn soup?

I wouldnt think twice normally, but its a catering gig for our local school board, mostly teachers and principle's, so i want a top notch soup.

Anybody try smoking a potato soup lately?

Never done it, but I would try a small batch first just to make sure it has the desired effect.

My first thought was just smoke the cheese.

Be interested to hear how it turns out.

Can't hurt to try it. I agree that you should try a small batch first-don't want to serve the experiment to the customers. You smoked chili-I don't think the soup would be a lot different.

Hmmm but a plus may be... the low smoking temps...less scorching possibility...Hmmm

The Hunkys make an AWESOME potato soup, replete with sour cream and bacon and onions browned in the fat with flour :{)
