smoker question

g'day .i am just about finished my smoker. i made out a old fridge
just want to know if the smoker has to by 100% sealed ??? .between my door and the fire proof seal were the door close on .likes like it may loose a little bit of smoke hear. but its not a lot . is this ok or do i have to seal it 100% .thanks for your help(i am just new at this) darren

you should be fine if you find that you are losing a lot of heat out the door you can get some weather stripping and seal the door with that if it is a cold smoker you are talking about
