WOW...Bad situation. I scrolled down to the comments section and it seems it was a rented house...owner thinks perhaps the smoker 'hit the ground'.....a beautiful home gone, pretty much gone....Willie
 
A lot of houses in this area are rentals. I'm not sure why. Too bad for the owner...

This is a good example of why (IMHO) its never a good idea to go off and leave your smoker unattended. I've been reading more and more posts about folks with remote controlled rigs or wi-fi controlled rigs who start their smoker then go off to do something else. Too many bad things can happen while your gone...maybe nothing worse than ruining a hunk of meat...but maybe ruining everything you own. For these reasons and others, I never sleep through the night, nor do I leave my house, while I'm smoking or grilling something.
