Hoping to get some advice on where to purchase a 55 gallon steel drum for my uds. Plan is to use a heating element and some sort of PID contraption to make this an electric smoker. Wouldn't mind paying extra for a new one. Nothing on Craigslist in my area works. Near Orlando, Florida. Thanks!

Pellet Pro makes hopper attachments for the UDS barrels. It manages heat like electric while burning wood pellets. Just an idea you can think about too.

Try Bookoo.com. In my area I see food safe drums for sale there cheap. If not there I've heard of people getting food safe 55 gallon drums at restaurant warehouse or supply stores. Good luck!
