My wife just called me at work and apparently I left the door open on my smoker. Well some critter last night must have thought it smelled pretty good and decided to help himself. He licked the water pan clean. Probably an opossum, had 2 of them holed up in the garage this winter in the cats bed. Guess I'll have to take care of them suckers.

Wow... I bet they gonna be busy doin' "business" all OVER too ugh! NAssssty creatures, and amazingly tough. A few years back caught one leaving my tipped over garbage can... 3 rounds of .22 before it stopped. Freaked me out...thought I was losing my touch. Nope. All 3 chest hits.

They left plenty of crap in the garage for me. Wife wouldnt let me shoot them in the garage. I chased them but man they are faster than they look, have pretty nasty teeth too. I did get hold of one of them once and he latched onto my wrist, good thing I had a welding glove on. I took care of him though, ever seen a flying opossum? Used my old high school discus throwing move on him.

Good luck on your hunt! When you kill it, maybe you should smoke it ..... that's some good poetic justice! ;o)

I hate those damn things!! They pretty much give me the creeps. When I was a kid the neighbor lady had a dead one in the yard. The old man told me to go throw it in the trash for her. Twenty mins later or so you hear this loud banging went out side and it's jumping triing to get out of the garbage can

yeah, i agree with you on nasty. When I was about 10 or 12 my dad found a mom and babies had taken up residence in a lumber pile in our shop. He emptied the clip of his .22 pistol (I forget if it's 9 or 12 rounds) into the mom from about 4 feet, including several head shots and the thing was still hissing and charging him. I had to run back to the house quick to get the ammo box so he could finish it off! nasty little cuss.
