Smokem' if you got 'em

Hi everyone!

I just joined SMF because I want to purchase a smoker and try to smoke my own delicacies.  I live in RI but am originally from TX and I miss a good smoked brisket.  When I can find some at a restaurant it cost an arm and a leg and isn't enough to make a decent sandwich (remember I'm from TX where everything is bigger).

An Ace Hardware has a Masterbuilt 20071814 on sale and I thought I would start there.  Does anyone have any comments regarding this particular model? I am just looking to get started and don't mind upgrading later, but don't want to sell the farm on my first unit.

I appreciate any comments.

Welcome to you, I know that Masterbuilt is a very popular brand.

Lots of folks on here use them, but I also know that some models

are better than others.

I unfortunately don't know which is which.

Someone will happen by here shortly I'm sure, that knows about this.
