I had a few sirloin steaks I was going to grill but decided to fire up the GOSM. Rubbed them down with EVOO, a little kosher salt and fresh ground pepper. Smoked at 250 degrees F over some hickory and cherry to 160 degrees F internal and they turned out very yummy. Here is the q-view fresh from the smoker.

The steaks look great. I just grilled some ny strips and would never thought to smoke them. I'm in a competition where they have added "anything beef" as a comp turn in. Maybe I should follow your idea.

We smoked some NY strips last weekend, with just pepper and seasoned salt and we smoked rib eyes this weekend with rib rub. All turned out great and momma prefers them smoked anymore.

Yummm steaks are great smoked! Made some chuckys for my Chiroprator Wednesday night (that's one of my co-pays hehehe).

Think this is worth a $30 co-pay?

not a chance w/ our local prices. i'd like to give a 1/2lb sammie on sourdough w/ grilled onions & shrooms w/ pepperjack cheese & au jus and horsey sauce- i can't do that w/ camp taters & slaw fer $6.00....
