Minne o so cold
Made my first attempt at smoked chicken today.

Started with a brine last night. I didn't have molasses, so I left it out of the brine. Soaked the chicken over night. Washed the chicken, patted it dry. Nothing else on it.

Cooked the chicken at 225, and with a meat thermometer temp at 170, I puled it out, tented it for 15 minutes.

So good. I'm having trouble uploading pics. If I figure it out, I'll add a picture.

While it was smoking I made some Pasta e Fegoli

Here is the dog when I walked into the house:

Final product:

Take Italian sausage, and regular sausage (about 2 - 2 1/2 pound total) cook the sausage remove form pan and let cool.

4 - 5 carrots, 3 - 4 celery stalks, onion, garlic, chop veggies and cook in the fat from the sausage.

2 cans red kidney beans, 1 can light beans, drain, rinse and put in blender with 3 cups of chicken stock, blend well.

Add blended beans to cooked veggies, add 2 more cups of chicken stock.

Bring to a boil, then simmer on low for 15 minutes.

Cut sausage in half the long way then into chunks.

Add 3 - 4 cups of noodles, simmer for 15 minutes

Add chunks of sausage. Simmer until meat is warm, eat up.

Your chix looks great as does the soup.
