Could not find this topic. I have a Char Broil electric smoker. The Wifi version. Whenever I cook I expect to see billowing smoke but only see puffs here and there. Is that normal in these types of smokers. Chips smoke more than chunks it seems.
Like Brian said. I use an AMNPS (a-maze-n pellet tray) in my MES all the time.
BTW you want TBS (thin blue smoke) not billowing clouds of smoke. Ideally, so thin that although you can easily smell the smoke, you can hardly see it.
