Hi,

I’m looking to upgrade to one of those smart grill/smokers, where you can monitor and adjust the temperatures on your phone. My wife’s one requirement is that whatever I pick have the ability to use propane to do my smoking/grilling. Doesn’t have to be solely propane, just have the ability.

Any suggestions?

I think you'd best be served by a wifi connected pellet grill and then buying a 2-300$ gas grill.

Many times multi-task units don't measure up when it comes to both smoking & grilling. If space is not the issue I also recommend getting a pellet smoker and a gas grill.

Ditto what others suggest. I use my pellet only for smoking. Grill on the Weber. But ease and speed of a gas grill tough to beat. To me the flavor on charcoal (usually) worth the extra time/effort. Tho I’m occasionally tempted to get another gasser.

To be honest, my Ninja is getting more use than either.

Which ninja do you have?

And yeah flavor on my kettle is better but when I get home from work and need dinner it's hard to argue with *turn knob*

Ninja Woodfire XL (in my Sig)
For smallish cooks, it’s really easy. Electric, but has a smoke box to fill with pellets. Don’t get much smoke flavor at high temps on pellet, but can do that on this since smoke is independent of temp. I use charcoal pellets to mimic Weber (sorta).
Has a griddle and an air-fryer basket.
Have done butts, wings, ribs, burgers, beans, etc … and I can pick it up and carry it in/out of storage shed.
