After seeing @SmokinVOLfan using his new flattop , I had to dust mine off . Not sure how many have had White Castle Hamburgers , but this is my take on them and I got it pretty darn close .
The burgers get steamed over onions . I use raw to create the steam and some water . If you are looking for the White Castle taste you need to also use dehydrated onion flakes .

I buy the dinner rolls from GFS . Best slider bun in my opinion .

Chopped 2 onions and add the minced to the chopped

Divided up 2 pounds ground beef

Cover with plastic wrap , then smash .

Poke some holes , so the steam comes thru the middle . Sprinkle onion flakes on top

I heated the cook top and hit it with some water to steam off , the shut it off and cooled .
Just to kill anything that needed killing .

Add onion and turn to high and add the burgers .

I think you can see the steam rising ,

These are steamed , so your not going to get a crust or color . That's what you want .
Getting close , moved some to the hot side , sparyed some water on the grill .

Add cheese to some .

AND ,,, my propane runs out ,,,,,, I knew it was close .
That's ok ,, they were cooked . The next step is to steam the buns by adding the top bun to the burger , squirt some water between the pattys , then cover the cracks with the bottom bun . I stacked them on a cookie sheet and in a low oven to melt the cheese and get the buns a bit soggy .
So normally This would be done right on the grill .

OK , can't forget the fries .
This is a good brand I found recently . Really like 'em .

My small air fryer that gets used 2 to 3 times a week .
20190824_165557.jpg
Does a fantastic job on the frozen fries .

Well that's it . These are really good . For the guys trying to mock White Castle , this works out pretty damn close . Add dill chips . The only thing is they are thicker the a Castle , but I like 'em like that . Any way ,, here ya go .

Hope you enjoyed .

Those look awesome. I do these in the oven since I don't have a flat top. I also put milk and peanut butter in the ground beef.

Nice!!!

That sure looks and sounds like White Castle to me, too bad I can’t taste it!

Like!

Yummy! Your sliders look soooo gooood.... I am getting hungry already but... have to wait for another two hours till I can start on my bacon cheeseburgers; my son is visiting us today... BTW, how do you like your fries cooked with air fryer? I remember my brother tried it for several times but eventually returned the frier back to the store...

Thanks for lookin .

Oh man, I love me some White Castle.

I hate to admit it, but I still buy the little frozen ones at Kroger and microwave them. Obviously not the same, but it brings back memories.

Nice rendition Chopsaw.

Man do you bring back memories! I've gone to Sliderville since the 60's. Now when somebody from Chicago visits us they have to bring a Crave case and of course......

Will this make 'em taste like White Castle Hamburgers? I truly miss them...and NO....Krystals is not the same. They're tasty, but NOT the same.

Wait...What? Back in my 20's Krystals was the last stop before I somehow found my way home. They were the only place open after midnight.
LOL... Back in my mid 20s, aka blind drunk days... My drunken food stops were Roberto's and Denny's.

Roberto's Taco shops
Carne asada burrito, California style = sour cream, guacamole, cheese and french fries in with the meat.
Or
Denny's
Prime Rib, 2 minutes grill time on each side to warm it up, leave the blood on the plate cause I'll be drinking it.
