Been working on this for a few months now and have a few questions. It's 60 gallon tank and 20"x20 firebox but my question is exhaust. The calculator says I need 6" exhaust that is 10" tall but I read maybe here I can't remember that if I use 2 stacks instead of one in center it will help with hot spots but that I can't just use 2 3" pipes so how do you figure the size on 2? Trying to get some pics to load but will have to wait until I leave for town

The calculator dosent work on vertical builds 2-3" pipes have more surface area than 1-6" pipe. You would need 2-4" to equate the same. Judging a 60 gallon tank your not reducing heat spots by going from 1-6" to 2 separate exhaust by much. Pictures would help. I use single exhaust on all my verticals to reduce side to side heat differences

I'm trying to get pics to load but I will try again when I have internet. Where do you think it is best to locate the stack for best heat distribution? In the center or off to side

I can't tell if those pics worked or not.

Center it on the top the shape of the tank is going to allow the smoke to flow smooth straight to the exhaust
Hey thanks. How would I figure the size of exhaust for it since the calculator doesn't work. Would it be bigger or smaller then the same size horizontal?
