Side Burner Air Intake "Butterfly" Modification?

Funny you should say that Dave! I saw the potential solution when I was indeed sitting nearby at the patio dining table. I waited/procrastinated until I had some time to disassemble the butterfly and take a file to it. That time magically appeared when I recently wanted to adjust the butterfly's central bolt tightness, and already had the pair of 7/16 box wrenches out to do so...
