I haven't eaten tuna in a can for a long time now, not since I brought some tuna and dorado back from Mexico. We pulled into Cabo San Lucas (Navy ship) and three of us charted a boat. We were anchored out and the boat came out to the ship and picked us up. Had to set things up with the Supply Officer on board as far as storing the fish in the ship's refers. Eating fresh (frozen) tuna off the grill puts any canned tuna to shame for sure. Even my wife loved it and she very seldom eats any fish. Needless to say, I haven't eaten any type of tuna in years.

They do sell it this way also.

You would think that this wouldn't be hard to do. But I've yet to make a batch of dilly beans that I'm really happy with!
I never got any of my pickles as good as store-bought. Grew a garden for years, tried to pickle all kinds of stuff, from cucumbers to peppers, even green tomatoes...most were edible, but not nearly as good as the pros.

Those are very convenient. We keep them on hand for a quick easy snack or lunch (Usually the deli tuna salad style), but talk about inflation...Starkist in the 5oz can at Walmart is currently on rollback at 96¢ or 19.2¢-oz, the 2.6oz pouch is $1.28 or 49.2-oz.. More than 2.5 times more per ounce!
BH, The Clamato michelada especial is the best "redeye" mix out there, also makes a great Bloody Mary.
Thanks for the reminder. I make an excellent michelada and keep forgetting about it. Those went by the wayside when we went low carb, but we are carbing more these days (and the belly shows it) and it's getting to be the season for micheladas. Need to get some light beer though...I only keep dark beer on hand usually...not so great for micheladas.
