Should I soak my wood chunks?

I'm using my new MES 40" today to cook St. Louis pork ribs.

I'm going to try the 3-2-1 method.  Do you recommend I soak the wood chunks or leave them dry?  I'm reading a lot of conflicting info.

water doesn't penetrate the wood much and just causes steam till it dries out. But as above try both for yourself. Just like doing your meats try half wrapped and half unwrapped but use the same seasoning and sauce if you want that's the best way to find what you like.
