Should I buy this?

I haven't smoked much but what I have smoked turned out pretty good. I have a charcoal grill with a smoker side box. Its kind of a pain in the neck. I've been thinking about buying a madterbuilt propane smoker. Here's a link to what I'm wanting to buy, I just need a little insight on them.

Me and my wife are about to go and purchase the smoker. I've been reading mods that have been done to the smokers and was wondering if this temp gauge is a decent one to replace the original one with. I bought from academy a while back for my charcoal grill and haven't gotten around to changing it out.

I like that smoker and always have . I just wish it was in Electric..
