Tasty Tuesday Wishes To You All!
My sardine lunch was GRILLED today, though as you know, I do SMOKE my sardines often too, (and have posted a zillion of those on here in previous threads), but today's were so good that I did want to thus share!
I will make it a point to smoke some in a few days as to add in, and compare back to back, since this is a smoking site of course.
Meanwhile, these were grilled so perfectly though, that I could eat the whole head, bones, tail, and every single bite and I love that with sardines the best!
Happy Tuesday of Terrific Things!!!!!!!!!!! To all!!!!
Cheers! - Leah
I started with some lovely whole sardines, and then I gutted them, scaled them and coated them in grapeseed oil...
and then added them to my little grill, with natural charcoal and a sweet potato that I'd started in the microwave for 6 minutes and coated with grapeseed oil and wrapped in tinfoil...
Just layering these crispy guys over salad, with cukes, elephant garlic, avocado etc.; and then some turmeric-black pepper-olive oil sauce, it all was fantastic!
Simple, healthful, and so very fun to munch right on through every little bone and head and entire body! DELICIOUS!!!
All that was left was the turmeric sauce dregs along the plate! (I licked that therefore, and put the dish back in the cupboard).
CHEERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - Leah who LOVES fish!!!!!!!
