Rarely buy pork in the supermarket. I was shocked yesterday, while at the market just browsing, to see discounted cuts went up 100-200%. Much like it happened with the brisket, flank, oxtail later on, the retailers/butchers caught on our love for odd bits and jacked up the prices for pig ears, tails, feet, organs.

Cranky buzzard posted last week about pork sides being in short supply as I said in that post supply and demand excuse for price increase. Then Ohio Pork Producers came out and said basically that.
