Sealing up my Oklahoma Joe's Highland smoker! Seasoned it and did some ribs last week and way to much leakage! Bought some lava lock gaskets and red food safe rtv and took it all apart and sealed it up also got some lava lock clamps for the smoker chamber. Only thing left is a difuser plate and something to get the exhaust down to grate level as there was a 50-60 degree difference between what the thermometers on the lid read and what my digital read at grate level!

seal job looks good... as far as temps differing from grates to the lid... obviously the lid therms are gonna be higher as they are at the top of the chamber (heat rises) ... If the therms are adjustable/calibratable go ahead and set them to what the grate therm is reading ...

looks great just get a piece of  pipe from lowes or home depot for the exhaust  to bring it down to grate lvl. thats what i did on my okjoe really helps  with the heat  and getting a better draw  outta the smoke chamber
