As a New England lad I can sure appreciate the awesome looking plate especially considering that you are in Idaho. What a score on the shrimp.
If you have a stainless steel fry pan of good quality try cooking your scallops in it, you will get a great sear on them.

Well we might be landlocked but we have airports and freezers!!! lol!

The scallops were done in our hexclad by our son who is in college….the pics didn’t do the sear justice (washed out by the sun), but we always compare the sear to when we had them in Hells Kitchen………the boy did pretty good!
Everybody else has the accolades covered!

You must be a bit like me...have a hard time bieng impressed with a LOT of restaurants.
Many thanks ckd! Oh yes the local restaurant selection is not a thing……

Much appreciated RAY! Most of our Christmas budget this year has been spent on “food” items vs wrapped stuff so this was the kickoff!

What a meal. I was thinking you were going to make a take on Irish seafood stew when the lobster went in the dairy poach.

...
Thanks and yea 4/6 count….. only 9.99/lb!
A little higher in price when you toss out 15%. I'm not in the suck out the head juice club.
Those ocean scallops set you back a few bills.

True in the shell…..however no risking the suck on these….if you look close you can see that I snipped the body and cleaned out the “mess” it comes out just like debacking a crab…. There is some very tender meat that remains and it holds the oil and herbs inside and self bastes…..so it’s a no surprise bite!!!
