I got the email yesterday stating that my parts had shipped, but even in that email they said "they are coming, but from China, so I don't know how long it will take." Ah well, I knew that would be the case. I've got my smoked roast beef, pork loin, and turkey breast in the freezer until the parts arrive!
Patience, not a strong point for me. At least they are taking care of you. Wish I could say the same for Masterbuilt in my case. Smoker arrived with a busted grate rack. An hour on hold, less than friendly CSR, will ship me 2 under warranty. Invoice in the box says 2....only 1 in the box...not going to spend another hour on the phone unless I absolutely have to.

That's too bad. You pay that much for something and it should either arrive pristine and complete, or they should be very happy to make it right. In the future you may not buy from them again because of an experience like this.

When the day gets here that I need to replace it I will not be buying another Masterbuilt product. Why they would ship it with the grates slid into the racks is beyond me.

This a good timing on this topic.  I am prepping to make bacon.  There is a Hobart 12" FS local to me,  It is manual with the sharpener.  How much should it be worth?   They are asking for $500.

We paid $549 for our 12" Chefmate, delivered. Price on that Hobart is a bit under what I seen one for on the Spokane area C/L.

Thanks. It slices really nice.

One problem I have is that the range of the carrier is not enough to slice a pork belly length-wise, so I have to cut off the end of my bacon.

The other problem I have is that it is very hard to clean. The carrier isn't a quick release, so I have to bust out a socket to take it off. Aside from that I love it!

I'll get some action video tonight and post it.
