Sausage Patties (in my Air Fryer)

I just had to try this:
Since my Air Fryer does the best job at frying Fresh Sausage Links, I had to see how it does with the same meat, but in Patty Form.

So I put 2 patties in my “PowerAirFryer”, set at 360° for 14 minutes. Then at 7 minutes I flipped them over & continued until done. Now I only put 2 in at a time, because that was all that would fit in my Fryer, which is the only serious problem I ever had with this thing. I can only put 4 or 5 Hot Dogs in it, or a small handful of French Fries, without piling things up & smothering the bottom things under the top things. If I want to do Chicken Thighs, it would depend on how big they are, as to whether I can get 2, 3, or 4 Thighs in at one time. I could have forced a third patty in with the first batch, but I had 4 patties, so I would have still had to do the 4th one, so I did two batches of 2.

So when I saw the newer Air Fryers they came out with, like the one “SmokinAl” got, I got Jealous & wished I’d have waited, but I had no idea they were going to come out with a bigger & better one so soon, even with a Rotisserie.

So anyway, I’m in the process of fixing that problem with an order I made a few days ago for another New Toy, and I should be making a post about it in a week or two.

Meanwhile, Enjoy the Pics,

Bear

Thanks for the pictures, I am on the fence about getting 1,if I have to turn things over I might as well use the oven, is this because of the basket design? I have way to many gadgets stored in cabinets to force another 1 in there but was looking at the style that's made like a counter top toaster oven for more than 1 type of cooking thanks

Thank You Mike!
Yeah, it's mainly these small ones that need stuff flipped, because there's not much air flow below the bottom of the food.
The bigger ones have a lot more room, on numerous racks & baskets, and don't need the flipping as badly.
Bigger ones have a Rotisserie too.
That's why I say this one's main defect is "IT'S TOO SMALL !!"

I hesitated to jump on the air fryer thing until last year. I dipped my toe in the air fryer pool with a small unit and loved it. So back around Christmas we bought the Power XL Air Fryer Oven Elite. I use that thing every day now. From sausage patties in the morning to fish and other meats at night. Works great with pre-made store bought patties, sausage breakfast links, or hand formed from home-made recipe sausage. The oven has enough air circulation that unless you overload it, you don't have to flip the food either. The small air fryer now lives in the travel trailer where space is at a premium.

Dang Bear! I thought I was done with gadgets when I got my instant pot. Let us know how the new one works out.

Yup , I have a nu wave ,,, love it . Every time I put it away , I'm getting it out . Use it almost every day . Thinking on getting a new one , So Bear watching for a review .

The sausage looks great John , still need to try that out in mine .

They look like they came out delicious! That the Air fryer doesn't fit a Mr. Bear sized amount of food sounds like a good problem to have. I'm looking forward to the new fryer adventures.

Hey bear..........here is how I solved the tight turning problem in the air fryer. Started with a simple rack. A little bit of cutting and brazing topped off with high temperature paint and wala....a shelf! No need to turn now.

It's pretty neat with the rotisserie, rotating basket, and numerous little shelves.

Nice. I have several friends who have an air fryer and I may have to start begging She Who Must Be Obeyed. Point for the info.

FYI: These patties weren't as good as the Links I usually do, but that's the fault of the sausage, not the Fryer.

Looks great bear, toss an easy-over egg on top of that sammy and I'm in breakfast heaven.

Thank You Al !!
I got held up a bit.
Had a 6 hour Storm night before last, with 6 hours of big-time rolling Lightning. Got hit pretty good & took out our Modem & Time Capsule. Just got back on line this morning.

Sorry to hear that.
It seems like half the country is getting slammed, but down here where we need some rain it's just sunny & unseasonably hot. The forecast for Memorial Day is a high of 97 & sunny. We never get temps that high here even in August. I sure hope this doesn't mean we will get some big hurricanes this summer!

Same here Al. We seem to have stopped having Spring here in Middle TN. Winter straight to summer. They are forecasting sun and low 90's here. I do want to shout out to our members in the plains. They are getting hammered right now.

Cool !!
That would definitely help!!
I see they have a rack like that in the set of accessories they sell for the Round Power Air Fryers.

And we can't even get into the 70's lately. Put the garden in but temps Not even warm enough to germinate seeds. Oh well, if all fails will support the farmer markets. Somebody must have something...
