At 17degf the floor is 12 degrees cooler than the airspace. Doesn't seem to bother my puppy.

Sorry I haven't been around for a while for an update. I'm just going to say that I am not comfortable with the drama level in my life right now. All that being said...... I made a bunch of progress on the truck. First of all I am living in her and have been for 2 weeks. Solar power been working just like it has before. Making about half power. They told me that it's the angle of the earth...... Still doing research on that but I don't think..... Eehhh. Not sure. Got about 1\2 the wall cabinets up. I ordered my potty and it should be delivered soon (I hope). I finished the walls. Now everything is cabinets, and water pretty much. She came together as fast as I could so I'm going to have to go back and do the little stuff.
It was redneck Christmas here today.i sat and waited for my toilet to show up. It is glorious! I don't have to leave my house to go to the bathroom! Now for the rest of the potty...... At least I have a pot to piss in!

Composting. I went with the wandago buy trelino. First time using it today. I couldn't go with a squatty potty (11in tall) because of my plastic knees. But the Independence is beautiful! Surprisingly doesn't stank after your done pooping. Compost. Huh.
They take some babysitting to keep them stank free.
A squat pot is OK if you stretch out your legs (knees). My problem is getting off the mushroom stool.
IDK dude, I would give that thing a "stink" workout...lol.

Honestly I think you know more about it than I do. But I'm learning! I don't think I'm a big fan of the cedar chips already. Think I want to try Coco core next. Just glad I have it to learn with. It very much extends my independence and my privacy.

I first came up with this concept in high school, living in a converted bus riding motorcycles and writing newspaper articles. Well the Marine Corps was the first thing that stopped me, and after that it was the women I was with. I fired the wife and started living my life the way I wanted to. As my disability came thru, it was clear to me that there was no way I could afford a conventional lifestyle. Well my old dream turned into a box truck from a bus so I didn't have to chop it and raise it a foot, but same chassis and motor as a school bus.
She's definitely come a long way, but I feel like I have more in front of me than behind me! Water system with shower and 100 gallon tanks, 2 more solar arrays, finish building battery bank, sink, finish cabinets and build closet, lower bed 14 inches, 3 louvered fans (kitchen,shower, and welding table) find a way to mount my welder/generator, 12 volt power system, , base cabinets, undermount storage, over cab rack with permanent storage containers, And I could go on. It's going to be a bad mofo when it's done.
I've even been contemplating removing the rolling door and putting in a ramp that operates with a winch that can also be a party deck with a fence around it that I could just let my dog out and it all be expanded steel so his excrement would just fall through.

I've made a few before. Not much to it really. I've got a 2 burner propane swirl burners. Boils water in 6 minutes if you believe the advertisements. It is pretty fast. But I e never timed it
