I'm building an RV to live in. Full time home. I'm a disabled veteran that can't work and they give me 1800\mo to live on. So I'm building a 95 GMC topkick 7500 with a 26ft box. The back 12 feet is the "garage".

My smoker just died. And I don't want a tiny RV smoker. Someone suggested an electric smoker and I was wondering if you think I can build it into the wall and keep a reasonable amount of smoke out of the garage and still get enough airflow?

Sounds like you are around 70%. Have you filed an appeal? The difference in 70 and 100% comes out to around $5k per month. I’m medically retired from army and at 100% permanent and total with the Va. have you applied for Individual Unemployability “UI”? If not and you can’t work it allows you to be paid at the 100% rate. Downside is you have to re-evaluate every 3-5 years to see if you still qualify. I can’t help with rv but if you ever have any VA questions I can likely help get you in the right direction. Good luck brother

Check out the Smokin-It #1. I take that camping a lot. I think you could use some 2 in tubing to get the smoke out of your garage. But I would just park it under a pop-up canopy.

I want to follow your RV build. Please post it.

I'm at 80% but I have thousands of old pharmacy copays so they keep part of it until June 26. I am appealing then unemployability. But it takes years. Last year they replaced both of my knees and both of my shoulders.

Cheap living in an RV and when my son graduates high School (2 years)I can go north on the summer and South (Texas \gulf coast) in the winter until I find the place I want to stay permanently. Better to be landless instead of homeless. So I'm setting it up for cheap living and good food. I already have the garage built, welding area setup, solar installed, mini split heat\air installed, and electric started.
2 burner stove, small griddle, dehydrator, and pizza oven inside. I want a smoker and deep fryer in the garage with a small dry aging cabinet. I want to hide in the woods, ride motorcycles, fish, and get FAT!

I take my mini wsm with me camping. You can't use it in the RV thou. But it's small and easy to take along.

It’s a whole lot faster now due to the PACT act. Last I saw average decision time is around 180 days. Make sure to sign up for that and get put on the burn pit registry. Hundreds of new things to file for. When I first enrolled in Va back in 2008 that was the real nightmare time. My claim was very fast due to my injuries in Iraq and great documentation but I saw many friends wait 4 years for approval/denial

Thank God for my lawyer. Worth every penny.
