Rookie Smoker in Park Ridge, IL

My name is Matt, and my wife and I just bought a house in Park Ridge, IL. We are moving from the city and finally have a yard to do some smoking. I was influenced by a coworker who often shares is smoked ribs and smoked pork shoulder. After doing some research and getting some tips, I have decided to purchase a Master Forge 20.25 inch, 376 sq ft Green vertical smoker. I like a good Chicken and Ribs combo, so I am looking forward to the spring and summer to get the smoker fired up.
